Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted a Week of Action and a warrant within Hillfields. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community and working with the local housing officers. We have been working with the council around parked vehicles with no tax, MOT and insurance. This was successful because we were able to find numerous of vehicles that did not have any of those. We will be working closely with the council to get these resolved. Officers visited Vernon Court earlier this week to speak with the local residents. This gave the residents the opportunity to raise any concerns and issues with ourselves. We have been working with the council to tackle the parking issues around the local area. Please remember that if you have a parking permit, to register your registration plates online to prevent getting a ticket. Your local neighbourhood officers have been out with the local councillors and residents around Hillfields conducting a litter pick. This was great to meet with the residents and get them together to keep your streets clean. Please make sure you put your rubbish in the bin to keep it clean. Officers visited St Peters church to hand out some crime prevention leaflets and items. We had a great chat with some of the residents and church users. This was a great opportunity for residents to speak to us about any issues they are facing. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests. There were Six arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Your local neighbourhood team carried out Drug Warrants and Trading Standard Warrants within your local area too, which resulted in closure orders now in place along with drugs seized. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields.
