#FRAUD | Counterfeit Bank Notes

We are asking businesses and individuals to be vigilant and check any money they receive after a number of counterfeit £20 notes have recently been used in shops and high street stalls in the Long Eaton area.

The notes seen have been of very good quality with only subtle differences and errors particularly when comparing the hologram areas of the bank notes.

It is obviously an offence to reproduce currency and if you have any information about persons making, supplying, passing or possessing counterfeit currency (banknotes or coins) please contact the police on 101 or report the matter anonymously to CrimeStoppers.
