Licencing visits.

On 14/03/25, Officers from Ashford CSU and Licencing, assisted by Dog Section and partners from Ashford Borough Council have attended three premises in the Victoria Ward.

The purpose of the visits is to ensure venues are compliant with their licences, to promote a safe space for members of the public and to proactively and robustly tackle crime that is associated with night time economy.

During the visits, the passive drugs dog made a number of indications, with 3 persons being dealt with for Drug Possession offences after being subject to stop searches whilst in the venues. One venue saw two persons have to be arrested for being Drunk and Disorderly due to their behaviour, with both being taken to custody.

This is a great example joint working with partners and how robust visible Policing is used on a regular basis.
