Hello Resident,
Another week (or so) has gone by and your neighbourhood team has been hard at work in and amongst the community to keep you all safe! Here is a recap of what’s been going on.
What's Been Happening? Aside from assisting with key events in the local area, such as the Wolverhampton 10k and the Kabaddi World Cup, your local neighbourhood officers have been continuing to work hard to tackle the issues that affect our community. Regular increased patrols have been tasked around areas of reported drug use, identifying individuals leading to work with the council as well as ourselves, to issue these people with civil and criminal warnings. This also includes foot patrols, which your PCSOs engage in on a regular basis. As always, if you have anything to report to us, please do so by the following channels!
A Big Thank-You to… Everyone who attended our “CUPPA WITH A COPPER” community meeting at West Park Cafe this previous Tuesday. It was great to see members of our community again to discuss some local issues that need increased effort from us, as well as the council. Action is being taken and will be discussed internally of an approach to deal with these issues.
Look Out For… All of the upcoming events and community meetings we have planned together alongside partnering agencies such as your local council. New dates for our “LOVE YOUR COMMUNITY” meetings have been announced. These are the quarterly meetings we have planned to raise new issues within the community, as well as re-address existing issues to show the plans in place and how we have worked to resolve them. The next dates for these are: Tuesday 15th April 2025 between 6pm and 8pm at Newhampton Arts Centre, Dunkley Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 4AN. Images of more information on future events can be found on the attachments to this email. For all future events, these can be found here!
Next Week… You may see a drop of messages now and again in-between these weekly round-ups, but if you need us urgently please continue to use 101, 999 in an emergency, or visit our website! Until then, thank you for your time reading! Please feel free to share this around, and we will be in touch!
Thank you, and stay safe! Gemma and Alex, Police Community Support Officers | ||||
