The Blaby beat team have heard that there are some messages circulating on Facebook around anti-social behaviour in the Blaby precinct particularly in Johns Court. We do not monitor spotted pages and would ask that anyone who experiences anti-social behaviour should contact the Police through the channels available so that officers can be aware of the most up to date picture. We as the beat team and other officers have conducted numerous patrols either in uniform or non-uniform to deter, catch and educate. The beat team also engaged the services of youth engagement officers from the Blaby District Council who will talk to youths that they come across. Some early results from Police Officers led to the seizure of three e-scooters with parents spoken to. I appreciate we can not always be at Johns Court due to competing demands but we will be continuing to visit the area. If anyone has information that they do not feel comfortable informing the Police about, please use the http://leicspolice.link/FIOjt site to anonymously report to us.
During one particular shift PCSO Loades had the opportunity to conduct clerical work in the vicinity of the Blaby bypass, in response to reports of cars racing in previous weekends. He was pleased to report that no vehicle-related anti-social behavior occurred that evening and no calls were received from residents. As his shift came to a close, a report of a burglary in progress in Cosby emerged. Response officers and PCSO Loades attended the area. The suspects had already fled by the time the police arrived. Fortunately, the vehicle they attempted to steal was not taken as the owner had taken precautionary measures by fitting an immobiliser, which prevented its theft. The investigation into this incident will continue in the upcoming days, CCTV and house-to-house inquiries to be conducted.
The Beat Officers have seized a vehicle being driven with no insurance, no MOT, bold tyres and no child seat for a young child in the rear. To top it off the driver was driving whilst disqualified. Driver reported for all of the above. Blaby beat team had received a call regarding cars driving anti-socially in the Oakfield Park, Blaby car park on Sunday 23rd March during the evening. Enquiries had identified three vehicles who have since been visited by Police Officers. All drivers have been issued with section 59 warning notices under the Police Reform Act 2002. This means that if the vehicles or the drivers are seen on a second occasion driving anti-socially the consequence will be the seizure of the vehicle.
