#YouSaid - What matters to you

Your priorities are chosen quarterly and are based upon

information gathered through NHL (Neighbourhood Link), social media, local engagement, and emerging crime trends. You have stated that the following key themes are important to you. #YouSaidWeDid

Priority 1 - Drug Offences is seen is a high priority for the residents of the Fosse Villages. As of January 2025 it has been raised as a new priority taking over previous concerns.

Priority 2 - Nuisance motorbikes has been raised as a priority issue for residents of the Fosse Villages.

Priority 3 - Road Safety is still seen as the top priority as raised by Neighbourhood Link. With Highways obstructions and road safety has been highlighted as the most important issue for local residents.

#WeDid - What we are doing

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for everyone's patience yesterday evening while we dealt with a road traffic collision incident in Huncote. The support and help of the community was really appreciated. The occupants of one of the vehicles who made off from the scene having left what appeared to be stolen goods and some forensics behind. The investigation continues.

A male who was wanted on Warrant was arrested at an address on Plougher Close, Sapcote. With the help of a drone and specialised departments the male was located. One motorbike was also recovered having been stolen locally last year.

Around the Croft Hill area several motos/ mopeds have been noted to be riding around on the hill itself. As yet we have been unable to identify the riders and would appreciate any calls in relation to this. The beat team will incorporate this area to our patrol plan.

It is almost that time of year when new local priorities are set so we can focus on what matters to you.

Currently the priorities are:

1) Road safety and speeding . The beat team complete speeding enforcement operations on a regular basis where issues have been identified. Our teams will patrol areas where speeding and other driving offences may have been reported and can use ANPR technology to identify offenders.

2) Reports of nuisance motorbikes. This is a strong issue for residents as they can cause a significant level of risk to other road users and pedestrians when they are used on the road and driven dangerous or at excess speed.

3) Drug offences including drug use and taking has been identified as neighbourhood priority. Drug offences can have a detrimental impact on a communities. Where issues are identified enforcement action will take place to deal with offenders.
