A man has been arrested after we found around £10k in cash and wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin in Newcastle-under-Lyme. Officers pulled the car over on the A34 near the Talke Road junction. The wraps were found hidden in the centre console when we searched it, along with £140 in cash and two mobile phones. We then searched an address and found an estimated £10,000 in cash. A 29-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, possession of a class A drug, failing to provide a specimen for analysis, failing to co-operate with a preliminary test and possessing criminal property. He is being questioned in custody. We’re working proactively to target serious and organised crime groups across Staffordshire. To report drug dealing in your area, call us on 101 or use Live Chat on our website. To stay anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
