Good morning Resident

Just a quick one to remind you that PCSO Vicki Poole from the Chelmsley Wood Neighbourhood team will be at Marston Green Library this morning 10:30 - 12:00hrs to listen to your community concerns.

I would really like to set up a dedicated Marston Green Streetwatch Team. 

* Street Watch is a community-led initiative, based on street patrols carried out by members of the public.

* Groups are managed by a volunteer co-ordinator & have regular contact with a PCSO from the local Neighbourhood team.

* Volunteers patrol in pairs or small groups, the PCSO will join them for a patrol at least once a month. 

* If volunteers spot suspicious activity they should report it to the police but not get involved. 

* Street Watch is about citizenship not policing, providing visible reassurance and appropriate engagement around local issues that        matter most to your community.

* Research shows that the presence of a capable guardian within a community helps to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
