Speed Scoping exercise complete with local community wearing high visibility clothing.  0900 to 0940.

Location of speeding assessment.

Mayals Road and Fairwood Road.  

Hi we sampled over 100 vehicles travelling from various directions from the common and travelling up or down along Mayals and Fairwood Road.  

Out of a 100 vehicles.  

22% went over the 20mph zone, going over 25+mph. 3 vehicles in this category were in excess of 30+mph. 

78% were within the 20mph limit. 

Speaking to residents on Mayals Road. Which we are aware. Speeding issues from the common late at night and school runs also bring concerns of speeding. Please note we will further target these times with ops in the area.
