On Saturday 29th March 2025 Mansfield South NPT Team discovered a cannabis farm within an address on Smith Street, Mansfield. Within there was approx. 100 mature cannabis plants, including a complex hydroponic system throughout the entire property. One male was detained and is currently in police custody.
The find was down to an anonymous tip off made to police the day before. PC 4450 Rickersey the local Beat Manager for the area took a rugged approach and was able to make the discovery.
PC 4450 Rickersey stated “it just goes to show the how much the police depend on the public for information, without that the cannabis grow would undoubtedly gone unnoticed. Cannabis farms in residential areas like this one pose a significant fire risk, we aim to bring justice to those responsible.”
