New cameras designed to capture images of speeding drivers in low light have recorded over 400 offences since their introduction last November. 

The top speeding offences recorded by the SSRP’s (Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership) low-light cameras were 54mph in a 30mph zone and 66mph in a 40mph zone. 

Speeding is frequently raised by Tamworth residents as a local issue. It is reassuring to know we are upgrading the tools we use to tackle problems raised by our communities.
