Reduce Road Related Offences

Dear Resident,

On Wednesday 26th March 2025, your local Policing Team, officers from our Traffic Department, Safer Roads Humber and colleagues from Neighbouring Wards have been working together to reduce Road Related Crimes.

Officers have conducted speed enforcements at the following locations, namely:

  • North Sea Lane, Cleethorpes
  • Tetney Road (A1031), Humberston
  • Peaks Lane, New Waltham
  • Humberston Road, Cleethorpes
  • Kings Road, Cleethorpes
  •

Around 900 vehicles have been seen resulting in 6 drivers been spoken to in relation to excessive speed.

Safer Roads will deal with any road related offences that they have observed, and a letter will be in the post for those committing any offences.

Several vehicles were stopped by your local policing team and Traffic Officers, where the vehicles were checked for their roadworthy condition, drivers for their driving permissions and insurance to drive the vehicle.

In total, three Road Traffic Offences have been dealt with and they include:

  • Seatbelt offences
  • Contravening a roundabout.
  •

Your local Policing Team will always address concerns when they are reported and that includes any road related crime. I hope that this alert fills you with confidence that we do listen and that we will take action and we will keep you updated.

We would like to thank you, our residents for the support that you have for us and only by working together can we (collectively) make our area a safer place to live and work.
