We have had recent reports of unknown males offering roofing services in and around Tamworth that have used ‘hard sell’ tactics and dishonest behaviour targeting vulnerable elderly residents. 

If you get approached by door to door tradesmen, 

. please do your research before agreeing to any work being done. 

. If you go ahead with any work, get the agreed price in writing beforehand and double check.

. book in a time and date for the work, allowing yourself a cooling off period to research the prices. Genuine tradesman will offer a 14 day cooling off period to change your mind. 

. If you are unhappy with any work done or the practices of the traders you can report them to TRADING STANDARDS.
