Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Sherbourne neighbourhood policing team.

Dear Resident,
Here is your quick round up from me and the rest of the Sherbourne neighbourhood policing team.

What’s been happening?

Our officers stopped a taxi whilst on patrol this week as the vehicle was being driven with a bold tyre. The tyres had now tread and were worn down way below the legal minimum of 1.6 millimetres across the central three quarters of the tyre. As you can see from the photo this tyre did not meet those standards.

Our officers uncovered a cannabis factory whilst conducting an enquiry at an address for an unrelated matter. The officers attended the address and knocked the door at which point a male fled the address into the back garden. Officers located the male and went back into the address with him where they discovered that there was cannabis growing in the loft of the property. A total of 37 Cannabis plants were located at the property. The male was arrested at the location and taken to custody. Once the property had been made safe by the power company the address was cleared of all cannabis plants.

This week saw the arrest of another wanted offender who has been targeting stores on our area for shoplifting offences. The male who was wanted for a number of shopliftings at different stores was located by officers on patrol and arrested. Our officers then charged the male with six offences and completed the file required for the males court appearance today (Monday).
