Burbage Police Update. Burglary, Dog Attack And Opportunistic Crime.

Hello Resident,

We hope you are well. There are a few incidents of concern to raise this week. Please be alert to opportunistic criminals in the area and get in touch if you need any support/advice.

Remember to call 999 immediately if you see a crime in progress.

Patrols, Police Activity and local engagement

Police have been active in Burbage this week completing work. We have also been responding to the above incidents, collecting evidence, working with partner agencies, local businesses and supporting victims and residents around a range of issues.

Since our last update, Police have received a total of 45 calls in Burbage. 15 were priority calls and 12 were priority calls.

Crime prevention and issues to be aware of

A resident has lost some keys on the 31st around the Higham Way/Brookside Park/Tilton Road/Holt Road area. If you find any, please pop me an email. The resident would be extremely grateful if found. Darren.stretton@leics.police.uk

As you can see from the above reported incidents, there are some opportunistic criminals about. PLEASE ensure vehicles are locked and all items of value are removed, especially bank cards, laptops and cash. Please do not leave bags of any kind on display, as this may draw attention to the vehicle, regardless of what is in the bag.

If you are going on holiday or leaving your property for a time, please consider window alarms, house alarms, light timers and asking a trusted friend or neighbour to keep an eye on your property. Opportunistic criminals will spot properties where residents are away. Perhaps ask a neighbour to park on your drive if you are not there.

Thank you and take care.
