On the 29th of January Officers from Pendle Task Force requested a vehicle to stop after it showed to have no insurance. The driver, Hassan WAJID of Manchester Road, Nelson who was a disqualified driver at the time made off from Officers colliding with a Police vehicle to make his escape. Officers from Pendle Task Force quickly identified WAJID, and he was arrested, charged and remanded on the 3rd February. 

On the 19th of March 2025 WAJID was sentenced to 52 weeks in prison for Dangerous driving and 1 month for driving whilst disqualified. 

WAJID was also given further 2 years disqualification from driving.
