Dear Resident,
This is a personal message having returned to front line policing following a period of illness. I know that my colleagues have done me proud in covering my area, but I am now pleased to say that I am fully back to work and keen to make a difference in the safety and security of Grovehill.
Before I was on long term sick leave, we had launched a local initiative called CLEAR HOLD BUILD which introduced more resources to tackle local issues such as homelessness, drug use and supply, anti-social behaviour and shop-lifting. I was involved for the first three months, and my colleagues thereafter, and behind the scenes there has been considerable success in apprehending and removing much of the bad behaviour and criminal activities. The initiative continues into its 10th month. It is understood that further work is needed and we will soon be holding open forums for you to attend to discuss Anti-social behaviour in the ward.
You may recently have received a survey to complete, asking for you state your most pressing issues as we are setting our local priorities around your comments. Below is a link for your views on Anti-Social Behaviour. Please feel free to fill this and and give some feedback.
As I said, I am very pleased to be back to serve the local community, hopefully fulfilling the role of a ‘local bobby’ . Please say hello when you see out and about.
