Vehicle seized for no insurance

Hello Resident,

Yesterday your local beat officers spotted a vehicle driving in the Tennyson Road area. After conducting a check on the vehicle it transpired that the vehicle was not insured. The driver was therefore issued with a traffic offence report (TOR) and reported for summons. The vehicle was also seized.

Not all insurance policies renew automatically so always check the details of your policy and when it ends to avoid any penalties.

If someone is caught driving with no insurance, the vehicle could be seized and the driver could face a penalty of £300 and 6 points on their license.

For further guidance please see the Kent Police website:

Many thanks
