South Ribble Neighbourhood Team have been busy running speeding enforcement over the last couple of days and the results are in!

Yesterday 30mph enforcement was conducted on LIVERPOOL OLD ROAD in MUCH HOOLE.

38 vehicles were scanned which resulted in drivers being dealt with by means of words of advice, traffic offence reports issued and an arrest of a driver under the influence of cannabis.

This road is concerning and whilst officers were dealing with offending drivers, vehicles continued to speed past at concerning speeds considering this is outside a school. This is a reminder that LIVERPOOL OLD ROAD is a 30mph limit until the national speed signs. We will continue to do checks in this area.

Earlier today 30mph enforcement was completed on LIVERPOOL ROAD in LONGTON with 32 vehicles scanned with more speeders receiving speeding tickets.

We also conducted 30mph enforcement on BROWNEDGE ROAD in LOSTOCK HALL. Great results with no speeders!

We will continue our efforts to enforce speed limits on our roads in SOUTH RIBBLE. We would also like to reassure the public that alongside speeding enforcement we run many operations.

We are also aware of many other roads in the area that need enforcement and will task these out in accordance with times provided but are always open to more suggestions!
