I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you with an important update regarding the installation of a POD Camera in your area.

We have received numerous reports from local residents concerning anti-social behaviour (ASB), drug use and dealing, loitering, nuisance behaviour, and noise disturbances caused by a group of youths congregating outside St Anne’s Catholic Church and along Abingdon Road. These activities have understandably caused distress and concern within the community.

In response, the local beat team has been working closely with partner agencies, including the Community Safety Team, Street Lighting, Leicester City Council’s CCTV team, local councillors, and residents, to address these issues effectively. As a result of this collaborative effort, Leicester City Council, in partnership with Leicestershire Police, will be installing a POD Camera on Abingdon Road.

This camera will assist us in identifying and taking appropriate action against individuals engaging in harmful and unlawful activities, thereby improving safety and enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Installation Details:
