Theft of Motor Vehicle - Theobald Street

Dear Resident

Between 01/04/2025 01:45 to 01/04/2025 02:25 a theft of a vehicle occurred on Theobald Street, Borehamwood.

IP reporting that an activation on their tracker motorbike was moving. IP went downstairs and found their motorbike had been taken. The bike was locked up and parked in his back garden, IP states the back gate was open. IP still has the keys for the motorbike.

IP has tracking on the motorbike which is via MONI MOTO. IP can access this via an app. Location was showing in High Barnet park off of Barnet lane.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

If you have a keyless entry car use a signal blocking bag.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.
