Two cocaine dealers sentenced to over 14 years in prison after being caught red-handed

Two drug dealers have been given a combined 14 years in prison for supplying over £400,000 worth of cocaine into Surrey.

At Chichester Crown Court on Monday 31 March, Mirjan Kastrati, 35, DOB: 01/06/1989, from Romford, was sentenced to six years and three months in prison after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine. After a six-day trial, Mario Gilaj, 24, DOB: 15/05/2000, from Romford, was given an eight-year prison sentence after being found guilty of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

The investigation began on 5 September 2024, when in response to intelligence gathered about potential criminal activities, officers executed a search warrant at an address in Dartford. The address was being used as a ‘call centre’ by the two men in order to supply cocaine into Surrey.

During the execution of the warrant, officers caught Mirjan Kastrati red handed at a makeshift desk making drug deals and communicating with customers. Mario Gilaj was also arrested after attempting to leave the property.

Follow-up enquiries by the investigation team uncovered digital data and documents that proved that the two men had been responsible for the supply of around 4 kilos of cocaine into Surrey in a two-month span between July and September, with a street value of around £413,000.

Investigating officer, PC David Oliver, said; “Drug dealing can have a devastating impact on the local community, and if you are going to come to Surrey to deal drugs, we will pursue you and bring you to face justice.

“These two men were only concerned about their ill-gotten profit and will now spend a combined 14 years in prison where they belong.”
