This week we have seen several incidents of moorland fires. There was one on Healy Nab which the fire service had to attend. It was only a few years ago that there was a significant fire on Rivington and winter Hill. We are asking for your care and common sense  when in these areas. Please do not have barbeques and dispose of cigarettes responsibly. It can takes years for the moorland and wildlife to recover from these events.
