Free Sports Sessions Are Back at Beachfields!

Good Afternoon,

We are pleased to announce that the partnership between Kent Police and Sports Connect is continuing to flourish and that the Free Sports Sessions will be returning to Beachfields park by the Sandpit from Wednesday 10th April 3:30pm - 6:30pm and will continue every week right until October half term.

The funding was secured by Swale CSU earlier in the year to allow the project to keep running right throughout Summer 2025 and beyond. The sessions proved popular last year with local youths of all ages attending, which also coincided with a reduction in youth related ASB in Sheerness.

Throughout the winter the Sports Connect coaches have been focusing their attention in the Thistle Hill area to help combat the ASB occurring there, but as the evenings are now lighter they will be returning to Sheerness to deliver a much needed provision within the community to keep local children active, all at no cost to the attending families.

Please encourage anyone you may feel could benefit from the sessions to attend, whether that be from a health and wellbeing or behavioural point of view, the Sports Connect Coaches are specialists at engaging with youths who may need a little ‘guidance’ in life.
