Attention van owners!

Across the nation we've seen a huge rise in van break-ins and tool thefts, last night the Hadfield area was a target and whilst enquiries and investigations are ongoing, we are wanting to spread awareness.
Thieves are targeting vans, stealing valuable tools, and causing significant damage to doors which has huge financial losses to their owners.

We are increasing patrols in and around your local areas, both mobile and on foot,  our local community are a huge assist reporting any information.. being our eyes and ears.. if you see anything suspicious let us know – it may help us piece the jigsaw together.

Here are some steps you can take to protect yourself and your property:

🔒 Secure Your Van:
1.    Park in well-lit areas with high foot traffic.
2.    Install additional locks like deadbolts and puck locks.
3.    Use alarm systems with motion sensors.
4.    Add barriers to windows and between the cabin and the back of the van.
5.    Avoid advertising your business on the van to reduce attention.

🛠️ Protect Your Tools:
1.    Mark your tools with identifiable information.
2.    Keep an inventory of all your tools, including serial numbers and photos.
3.    Invest in tool insurance to cover losses.
4.    Avoid leaving tools in the van overnight whenever possible.
5.    Use surveillance cameras to monitor your van and tools.

Keep an eye out for messages about our free tool marking events.

Let's work together to keep our community safe.
