Melton Rural North & Melton Town Centre Update
No less than 5 minutes to the start of the shift PCSO Gray and Durrant crewed up to assist response officers in attendance at a road traffic incident and closed the top of Broughton Hill allowing those at the incident to have a safe scene to assist injured parties. On our way back to Melton we were called to assist an officer dealing with a lone swan (yes it was just the one swan) stranded on Burton Street. This allowed the officer who was already late off, to deal with another incident and transport a victim home safely.
We were expertly helped by Corvid Compassion, the Swan was safely picked up and transported to the County Park with the assistance of kind members of the public lending their boot space. We then saw the Swan get happily released onto the water.
After this, we made a patrol around Wymondham and Saxby, making a reassurance visit following a report about antisocial behaviour.
The evening consisted of checking hotspots in the Town centre before a patrol across the Vale checking areas where antisocial behaviour has been previously reported. This included the area between Daybells Barns and the Village Hall amongst other areas.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable weekend.
