Beware of Bogus Officials

Dear Stretford Residents,

On Friday, April 4th, we received a report of two suspicious males around Kendal Road, Stretford, offering to complete work such as jet washing, patio cleaning, and other general maintenance tasks. The circumstances led to the informant to suspect that it wasn’t a legitimate company.

Please remember to keep your doors locked, even when you are at home. If you have a door chain or spy hole, please use them before answering the door.

Additional Safety Tips:

  • Verify Credentials: Always ask for identification and verify the credentials of anyone offering services. Legitimate companies will have proper identification and contact information.
  • Do Not Share Personal Information: Avoid sharing personal information with strangers, including your schedule or when you will be home.
  • Report Suspicious Activity: If you notice any suspicious behaviour, report it.
  • Install Security Measures: Consider installing security cameras or a video doorbell to monitor activity around your home.
  • Thank you
