Attempt Burglary 

On 31st March 2025, unknown offenders have approached the front porch and side door trying the door handle and looking into the property. Offenders were unsuccessful in gaining entry on WYCKHAM ROAD.

Theft of motor vehicle 

On 28th March 2025, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Toyota Estim by smashing driver side window on ELMFIELD ROAD. The vehicle was found later that day.

On 29th March 2025, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Ford Kuga without keys on NEVILLE ROAD.

Between 30th March and 31st March 2025, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Ford Ranger without keys on OASTON ROAD.

On 1st April 2025, unknown offenders have stolen a secure unattended BMW 640 by using a keyless device on SELWORTHY ROAD.

Between the 2nd April and 3rd April 2025, unknown offender/s have stolen a secure unattended Toyota without keys on THE GREEN.

Interference with a motor vehicle 

On 28th March 2025, unknown offender has attempted to take the strip of rubber from the frame of one of the windows to a Renault Clio in order to gain access on ELMFIELD ROAD.

Kingshurst 

Burglary – There have been no reports of Burglary, since 28th March 2025.

Theft of motor vehicle ­

On 2nd April, unknown offender has stolen a VW Golf believed with keys on SWAN DRIVE.

What’s been happening? Good news

Smithswood Neighbourhood Officers have arrested 3 prolific offenders for shop theft one male was wanted for eleven shop thefts in stores in Castle Bromwich and Kingshurst. He was walking near to Heartlands Hospital when an eagle eyed member of the team saw him and apprehended him.

All have been charged and are awaiting court hearings.

 We have been continuing our efforts to arrest wanted domestic violence offenders to safeguard the victims in our area. This week we have arrested two for harassment of their partners and another male who failed to sign on for bail. He is suspect in a serious assault on his ex-partner from December. Following advice from CPS, he has been charged.

We have also been continuing our efforts in tackling the anti-social use of motorbikes. We attended Tile Cross Park following intelligence that motorbikes are stored there which are later driven anti-socially in Chelmsley Wood and Kingshurst. A moped stolen from London in 2023 was recovered at the park.
