Rural South Today has been a day of House to House enquiries, dealing with incidents, safeguarding a vulnerable person, and listening to victims of antisocial behaviour and deciding how best to deal with the issues raised, alongside partner agencies.
I have been crewed with PCSO Dandy from the Melton Town North beat for the shift, and together we have attended a call over in Oakham involving what was reported to be a homeless male being aggressive to members of the public. After speaking to him for quite a while, we were able to determine that he wasn't being aggressive and in fact, we found him to be both approachable and co-operative. Sometimes a friendly word and little understanding can diffuse what could potentially turn into a volatile situation.
We are both on a Late shift tomorrow so if you see us around come and say hello.
Have a nice evening and enjoy this lovely weather…while it lasts!!
