Dear Residents,
๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ต๐ต๐ต ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐ฑ
If you needed to call the police because you were scared for your safety โ so scared that you were unable to actually speak โ do you know how to let the police know that you need help?
If youโre in danger but it isnโt safe to speak, you can make a silent 999 call.
Call 999 and try to speak to the operator if you can, even by whispering. You may also be asked to cough or tap the keys on your phone to answer questions.
If you canโt speak or answer questions, dialing 55 lets the operator know your call is genuine and they will try to track your location ๐๐ฑ If you canโt speak, listen carefully to the questions and instructions from the call handler so they can assess your situation and arrange help.
