Good evening Rutland North,
Just to update you on some of the work over the past couple of days 👇
The first pictured vehicle on the back of the recovery truck had no tax since July 2024! 😲
The second picture you may remember from a good news story earlier in the week; it is of the lovely gentlemen who were very pleased to receive their property and equipment back after it was stolen last week ⛳ The recovered property sadly isn’t everything that was taken, but amounts to around £1,000 worth. So is still a good news story. See the post earlier in the week for further details, but another well done to the watchful eyed member of the community and PC Hughes 👏
The third image - whilst completing enquiries out on my beat for my other ongoing investigations, PC Hughes and I took the opportunity to proactively utilise the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) equipment and speed monitor the A6121 in Ryhall in the evening 🚔
The fourth and fifth images were taken AFTER finding a high-risk missing person safe and well. PCSO Lyall and I were searching in a very rural and challengingly vast area of the county after repsonding on an emergency to the location for a concern for welfare 🚨 🗺️ The missing person was found safe and well by colleagues nearby, so on the short walk back to the car, we couldn’t resist taking literally 10 seconds to snap a couple of very quick photos to show you the beautiful countryside (and lambs), we are so privileged to live and work in. A real reminder of how lucky we are 🐑 😃
Lastly, PCSO Lyall and I attended Cottesmore Community Centre today for a beat surgery. Thank you to all of those who attended and discussed local issues with us 🤝 The main issue raised was road safety, which we are working on with our partners. We were pleased to hear from the community that reports of ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) in the area from youths have dropped off, which also supports our data ✅
This is just some of the things I, with the team, have been up to in the past couple of days that we can tell you about in a public forum, it’s not extensive and it’s not everything. I’ve also been progressing my ongoing case load of investigations and a few other things I can’t mention - it’s been a very busy couple of shifts and a packed week in all! 🚔
It’s nearly the weekend and I'm coming to the end of my set of shifts... so it’s a rare weekend off for me 🥳 but rest assured that other team members are on duty and working 👍 Then of course we’ve got our 24/7 response colleagues looking after you round the clock 365 🚨
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable weekend whatever you are up to, fingers crossed for the forecast! 🌤️
