Dear Reader,

We hope you are doing well.

As your local policing team, we want to inform you about a slight rise in burglaries being reported in the area.

While this is something that may cause you concern, we want to reassure you and the community that there is no need for alarm we are aware of the incidents and are actively taking measures to bring offenders to justice. We are sharing this information with you to keep you informed and to encourage everyone to take proactive steps in supporting our shared efforts to keep our community safe.

It’s important to stay vigilant and aware, if you see any suspicious activity in your area report it to us as soon as possible. We are actively conducting patrols in the area to deter criminal activity and identify any potential offenders. We are here to provide support and guidance to ensure the continued safety of our community. Together, we can take effective steps to reduce opportunities for crime and maintain the security of you and the community.

We suggest the following advice:

  • Secure your property: Always lock doors and windows when leaving your home or going to bed and use strong locks for sheds and garages.
  • Increase visibility: Install outdoor lighting and keep shrubs or trees around your property trimmed to remove potential hiding spots.
  • Mark your valuables: Consider using property marking tools to label valuable items, making them less attractive to thieves and easier to recover if stolen. (See Link to Immobilise)
  • Stay vigilant: Look out for any unusual activity, such as strangers behaving suspiciously around homes. If you see anything concerning, please report it to us immediately.

  • We are here to support you and address any concerns. By working together as a community and remaining alert, we can continue to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our area.
