The Penn and Merry Hill Policing Team warmly welcomes you to this community update. Over the past six days, our team has been closely monitoring incidents in the Penn and Merry Hill areas. This report aims to keep you informed of recent crimes, encourage vigilance, and foster collaboration as we work together to enhance safety in our neighbourhood.

 

Crime Overview:

 

Residential Burglary: A burglary occurred at a home in the Ludstone Avenue area of Merry Hill, reported on 07/04/2025 at 22:17. The incident took place between the hours of 07:30 and 16:45 on the same day. Investigation team  are investigating, and residents are urged to enhance security measures for their homes.

 

Theft from a Motor Vehicle: A theft from a motor vehicle was reported on Bryan Avenue in Penn on 07/04/2025 at 09:49. Residents are reminded to secure vehicles and avoid leaving valuables inside.

 

 

Cuppa with a Copper

We are promoting a scheme called "Cuppa with a Copper," where members of the Penn and Merry Hill Policing Team can visit your community group to discuss any concerns you may have or simply enjoy a friendly chat. As we enter the Easter holidays, the Penn and Merry Hill Policing Team will be increasing our presence around green spaces and shopping areas. This proactive step is aimed at addressing any potential anti-social behaviour (ASB) issues and ensuring a safe environment for all.
