On 08/04/2025 at around 16:45 officers on patrol down Ventura Park were stopped by staff at Go Outdoors who were reporting a male acting suspiciously instore.

As the male left the store he set off the alarms and initially tried to run from officers but was soon detained. He was searched and found in possession of stolen items.

The 32 year old male, from Birmingham, was dealt with by way of Community Resolution in regards to the shoplifting offence. However, checks revealed the male was actually wanted for failure to attend court and he was subsequently arrested and taken to custody before being transferred to the relevant force area.
