Between 3pm and 8pm on Friday the 12th of April 2025 the Chadderton and Werneth Neighbourhood Policing carried out a problem solving policing operation on the Metrolink stations at South Chadderton, Freehold, Westwood and King Street Metrolink stops to tackle anti-social behaviour, drug use/supply and knife crime on the network. 

The team had great results including:

40 x Stop Searches 

4 x Arrests 

1 x Stolen Items Recovered 

A stolen car pursued and recovered for CSI 

50 x Fare Evasions with the assistance of TSGM
