It has come to our attention—once again—that unknown individuals are choosing to drive vehicles on the football pitch in Trefonen.
This is not the first report of such behaviour, and it is both anti-social and illegal. Driving on the pitch is causing significant damage to the playing surface, creating hazardous conditions that could result in serious injuries such as sprained ankles or worse. This damage is classified as criminal, and those responsible risk receiving a criminal record.
When those responsible are identified, we will be issuing a Section 59 notice. Should there be any repeat offenses or driving in an antisocial manor, you risk having the vehicle seized immediately… And you are also going to be reported for the offences too!
Today we met with Shropshire council to assess the damage and to look at preventive measures to ensure this doesn’t continue.
We urge anyone in the Trefonen community who may have information—particularly photos or videos showing vehicle registration plates—to come forward. Please contact us on 101, quoting reference number 00044_I_16042025.
