Your Weekly Bablake Update

Weekly Update from your local Bablake NPT

Dear Members

Here’s your weekly update from myself and the rest of the team.

What’s Been Happening

. Burglaries

Good news ……..NO burglaries reported this week. 😊

You can mark all property with a UV marker making it easier for lost or stolen property to be returned should the worst happen. It is also a good idea to keep a record of where you marked the property and note down any serial numbers. You can register valuables at www.immobilise.com

. Vehicle Crime

Four reports of vehicle crime this week.

Two vehicles had their number plates stolen. These happened on Duncroft Ave and Brownshill Green Road.

Two vehicles were stolen from Browns Lane and Coundon Green.

Both vehicles had been left locked and secure and the owners still had the keys.

If you have a keyless entry vehicle, please store your keys in a faraday pouch. This will block the signal it gives out to unlock and use your vehicle. Faraday pouches can easily be bought online.

. In other News

The team have been busy this week as always.

Two prolific shoplifters have been identified, arrested and charged. Shoplifting has a big impact on our local businesses and we will do our best to reduce this impact.

Two vehicles have also been seized for not having any car tax. If you want to drive your car, make sure it is road legal otherwise we will take it off you.

A good news story. An elderly male, while attending church, had his wallet stolen. The team got on the case. Found the thief, arrested and charged him and wallet returned to the owner. One person made very happy.

Don’t forget our PACT ( Partners and Communities Together) Meeting on Tuesday 13th May at 7pm. It will be held at the Jaguar Sports and Social Club who have kindly allowed us to use their facilities.

Stay safe everyone.

If you have any information about crime in your area you can let us know 100% anonymously by contacting CRIMESTOPPERS 0800 555 111
