Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 16 April 2025


Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

AMEMONA SWEETS at KIRKBY LIBRARY, ASHFIELD PRECINT, KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD NG17 7AQ on Sunday 27th April 2025 at 2:30pm-4:00pm.

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At 2.37pm on Thursday 10 April in Old Chapel Close, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of homeless people gaining access to a sheltered housing complex and sleeping in the communal areas. Items have been stolen from a communal lounge, two Chrome Books and a small DVD player.

Theft of motor vehicle

Around 11.40am on Tuesday 15 April in Manor Crescent, Kirkby in Ashfield, a deep blue Vauxhall Zafira was stolen from the roadside while the owner was making a delivery.

Criminal Damage

At 3.56pm on Friday 11 April in Forest Road, Annesley Woodhouse, a report of a hedge and fencing being destroyed by a motor vehicle. It is possible that this could have been caused in a road traffic accident. 

At1.26am on Tuesday 15 April in Selston Road, Jacksdale, a male smashed a flat window.

Between 9.00pm on Tuesday 15 and 10.07am on Wednesday 16 April in New Westwood, Westwood, the centre was cut out of an 8-0” by 6-0” banner relating to the local elections, displayed outside a property,

At 7.30pm on Thursday 10 April in Lowmore Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of four young males entering the Farmfoods store and causing havoc. One, in a black Puffer North Face style jacket with hood up, black bottoms and black trainers was riding an e-scooter endangering shoppers. A second had ginger brown hair, black clothing and a black rucksack.

Around 8.30pm on Friday 11 April in Selston Road, Jacksdale a male was kicking at the communal door to some flats. No damage was done. 

Around 4.50pm on Sunday 13 April at the Green Well Recreation Ground, Nottingham Road, Selston, a group of young people, early to mid teens, were playing very loud music. Several requests, by a number of people, were made for them to turn the volume down, but only resulted in them being given a load of verbal abuse.

At 2.25pm on Friday 11 April in Felley Mill Lane North, Underwood, a report of an ongoing issue with off road bikes. Today six bikes were sighted with no number plates, the riders all in dark clothing and wearing helmets.
