Speed Enforcement in Highley and Bridgnorth - Operation Aurora

PC Nolan & PCSO Oakley of Cleobury & Highley and Bridgnorth Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) have this evening 16/04/2025 been conducting speed enforcement in Highley & Bridgnorth.  Officers from the different Safer Neighbourhood Teams based in Bridgnorth Police Station often work together on their areas in response to concerns from local residents.  Speeding vehicles have been highlighted as a community issue in these areas. We are pleased to report that of over the 60 vehicles checked there was an average speed of 27mph within the posted 30mph speed limits.

Speeding is the biggest cause of casualties and people killed or seriously injured, driving under the influence of drink or drugs is second, not wearing a seatbelt is third and fourth is using a mobile phone while driving.
