Dear Resident, Here are the Reported Crimes on Blythe between Sunday 13th of April 2025 – Sunday 20th April 2025. Burglary. On the 17/04/25 at 4.43 am a burglary was reported on Hay Lane Monkspath. Three Offenders lock snapped a rear patio door and entered the property. A black Audi Q5 along with personal items were stolen. Theft from motor vehicle. Between 17/04/25 11.45pm – 18/04/25 9.30am a resident left his wallet in his vehicle in an underground car park in Dickens Heath. The drivers window was smashed and the wallet was taken. Please fit a steering lock as an extra layer of security to protect your keyless entry vehicle. Relay scanning devices are being used. Please set your alarm if fitted. Leave lights on or use light timers. Never leave your house in darkness. Ongoing patrols are continuing. Thank you to the residents who are helping Police with their investigations. Please use anti-tamper screws available from most vehicle spares shops to secure your number plates securely to your vehicle. Any images should be recorded onto a secure system and be held for a minimum of 31 days. For more information on choosing a CCTV supplier please see the following link: Ensure that all shrubs and hedges do NOT encroach the maximum height of 1m and Tree canopies are lifted to 1.8m. This allows for maximum natural surveillance. Ensure that all fences are the same height as smaller fencing abutting higher fencing acts as a potential climbing aid for offenders. Ensure that all garden furniture is stored away in a garden shed along with any tools to avoid aiding offenders in committing burglary. Ensure that Wheelie Bins are not stored near to fences and are chained together to prevent them from being used as climbing aids or storing objects in that may aid an offender to commit a crime.
