First day back and straight out the door after reports of a Giant Rabbit, Unlicensed vehicles with no MOT involved in an RTC whilst playing loud music in the town park. Town Beat officers made there way to the park area and found loads of people....have a great time. The weather has also finally come out to play so the park is the place to be this afternoon and officers will be back out later today and tomorrow. We have so far had no other reports requiring Police attendance but will be about to reassure and please say hallo if you see us.

Oh and the initial reports were of course not as reported which often happens in this job. The Giant Rabbit, and no it wasn't Bugs Bunny, was part of the Melton Mowbray Town Estate Easter egg hunt which was sold out - and yes she was told to hop it . The unlicensed vehicles and RTC was the always popular dodgems and loud music was what you'd expect at the fairground in the park as many of us will remember from our childhoods up and down the country.    

Officers are out on the respective beats and will be celebrating Easter after duties cease and we wish them luck trying to find any hidden eggs in the garden at home when they get back to their own families late tonight.
