Neighbourhood team acivities

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the last couple of weeks in the Blakenall/Leamore/Birchills and Beechdale area.

  • Patrols have been conducted in the Ashes Lane area of Harden Road, Bloxwich, Walsall- this is in response to anti-social behaviour including a matter where by a fire was started (12/04/25). This has been recorded as Arson and West Midlands Fire crew attended. CCTV enquires are being conducted in relation to this matter and a letter drop was conducted to local residents for reassurance.
  • The team have also been called to attend reports of youths setting fires in Woodland at King George V Memorial Playing Fields, William Wiggin Ave, Bloxwich, Walsall WS3 3NS on the 22/04/25. This behaviour is extremely dangerous for members of the public, wildlife and those setting the fires. Any person/s caught setting fires will be dealt with accordingly.
  • Our monthly meeting was held with PCSO Marica in attendance at the Frank F Community Centre- Beechdale (23/04/25).
  • The team attended another incident where by a void property had been entered on Coalway Road, Bloxwich – youths were taken home by officers and spoken too. The housing association who owns the property have been notified. We understand the attraction of these locations- but strongly advise parents and guardians to speak with their children about the dangers and possible criminal implications which come with attending these locations/properties.
