We are currently investigating a report of Burglary that occurred on Brailsford Road at around 03:00hrs 20/04/2025. 

The offender has has secured entry to a home by forcing open a ground floor window, the offender has then stolen items from within before making off. From enquires already made we believe the offence has occurred around 0300hrs 02/04/2025.
 

We would be grateful if residents in the Firwood Lane, Brailsford Road, Ashdown Drive and Firwood Village areas could check any CCTV footage, doorbell cameras, dash cams etc that may have captured footage of anyone behaving suspiciously in the area at this time.

At this time we believe the suspect to be of slim build and dressed all in dark clothing. 

In the event you find any footage that you feel may be of interest to officers, please preserve this footage by saving it or downloading it from the device and get in touch by replying to this message, emailing: 66033@gmp.police.uk or Texting 07391 409 252 (sorry no whatsapp) with your name, telephone number or email address and we will then be able to send you a link to upload the footage to our CCTV Portal.

Officers from the Neighbourhood Priority Crime Team, The Neighbourhood Policing Team and Forensic Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) are working hard to bring the offenders to justice and will be increasing activity in the affected areas.
 

Please remember to ensure that doors and windows remain locked at all times - check, check and check again. 

Remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately to GMP using 999.
