Theft from Motor Vehicle - Jarman Way, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4JS.

Dear Resident

Between the 22nd and the 23rd of April 2025, between 23:00hrs and 06:00hrs, a theft from a vehicle occurred in Jarman Way, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4JS.

The victim went to the gym in Jarman Way and parked his vehicle outside locked and secure. When he came back, he noticed that the number plate from his motorcycle has been stolen.

The details of the vehicle are as follows:

A YAMAHA, plate number LM20FNA.

Tips to prevent vehicle crime:

Ensure you lock doors and shut windows/sunroof when leaving your vehicle unattended.

Always remove keys from the ignition when you are not with the vehicle

When parking, remember to set your immobiliser or alarm or use an approved steering lock or gear lever clamp.

Never leave valuables in your vehicle – not even in the glove box or boot – and keep all possessions out of sight – even coats, sunglasses and carrier bags.

Remove your satnav and holder and wipe away suction marks which could indicate that a satnav is stored in your vehicle.

Be aware of your keys. Don’t leave them lying around, visible or in pockets in changing rooms where they could be taken. Don’t leave them visible on a windowsill or near to your front door, where they could be “hooked” through the letterbox.

Store car ownership documents at home, not in your car.

Secure number plates with anti-theft screws.
