I am PS Nick White, the Neighbourhood Sergaent covering Farnworth, Kearsley, Stoneclough and Little Lever. I have been in post since December and have been speaking with members of our communities to identify priorities which I will share below.

My team is full of dedicated and experienced officers who share the same passion for problem solving as I do, and we are all keen to work with our local partners to improve the quality of life for our residents. I foster a proactive approach to policing within my team, identifying offenders early on and being robust in their management, ensuring we work collaboratively with our partners to achieve the best outcome for all.

Anti-Social Behaviour
We are robustly targeting reports of ASB across the area having seen an in crease in issues across Farnworth Town Centre and Little Lever. There are dedicated officers for this during peak times on evenings and weekends. We will continue to remain visible in this area whilst working alongside our partners to ensure referrals and diversionary work is completed with these individuals at an early stage. In the past month, my team have made over ASB referrals for individuals engaging in unacceptable behaviour. 

Retail Crime

We are targeting shoplifting offences and other retail crime in Farnworth town centre through high visibility policing. We will prioritise offences against retail workers and take action against offenders. We will be working closely with the Central Bolton Partnership to provide crime prevention advice and obtain Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) for prolific offenders - giving local retailers and police more robust powers to tackle shoplifting. In the past 12 months, the South NBO team have obtained over 20 CBOs, excluding prolific offenders from all retail premises. 

Drugs

We are working with our housing partners and members of the local community to identify dealing hot spots . My team will be looking to take positive action around anyone who is adding to the drug problem in our area. We are developing intelligence on a daily basis and this is where I would say I need you most. If you area ware of ongoing issues around drugs and dealing in your area, please raise it to us. Crimestoppers will allow you to remain anonymous, as will an online report. Even if the issues appear small, intelligence allows us to identify the extent of the problems within an area and highlight where we best focus our efforts.
