Staffordshire Police is aware of a protest planned today (Saturday 26 April), including an advertised march starting from Main Street, Shenstone. 

We are working to balance the rights of the protestors against the rights of those affected by it, which includes minimising the impact of disruption to local businesses, the community and the road network. 

Lots of officers are out and about across the village and the local area to keep people safe and to respond to any concerns.

We are working to bring this protest to a peaceful, safe resolution.

We will take necessary action against anyone who deliberately chooses to act outside the law, and this can include pre-emptive action where there is information and cause to do so.
