Polite Reminder: CiCLE Classic Disruption

Sunday 27th April sees the return of The CiCLE Classic to Rutland for 2025.

This will mean that there are some temporary road closures in place by the council to facilitate the event.

Between 8am and 5pm MILL STREET, MARKET PLACE, GAOL STREET and HIGH STREET (between the Burley Road and Church Street junctions) in Oakham will be closed to vehicles.

Between 3pm to 4pm STATION ROAD, BURLEY ROAD and HIGH STREET to the level crossing in Oakham will also be closed to vehicles.

Parking restrictions will also be in place along both sides of the road on HIGH STREET, from the junctions of CHURCH STREET to MILL STREET, as well as in MARKET PLACE.

The road closures are put in place by the council.

However, we politely ask for your patience and co-operation on the day, as there will be some delays along the full route as the race tours our beautiful county – please view the organisers website for the full route.

It is sure to be a fantastic event for our local community and officers will be present on the day to support event organisers and the council with road closures, as well as to ensure everyone’s safety and a smooth running. So if you see us on the day please say hello, or give us a wave.

All that’s left to say is, if you’re partaking in any form – good luck! And, if you are attending to watch – enjoy!
