ASB Drivers - A228 SNODLAND

Good Evening Everyone,

Tonight, I alongside other officers from Tonbridge Community Safety Unit have spent the night in SNODLAND after numerous reports of people racing up and down the A228 and displaying behaviour that is causing annoyance, harassment, alarm and distress to our locals. You may have seen a number of Police vehicles present in the area providing a visible presence, ready to deal with those committing any offences.

A driver was issued with a Section 59 Warning after they were seen speeding along the A228, Holborough Road and committing a dangerous overtake, cutting up another motorist travelling in the same direction. This warning will remain live for 12 months and any further offending will result in that individual's vehicle being taken off them.

ASB driving/racing in the SNODLAND area remains a focus for CSU and we will continue to do all we can to stamp this sort of behaviour out. As I said before, those caught committing offences will be dealt with robustly.

I thank the residents once again for your continued patience and support on the matter.

Thank you.
