 Keeping Our Roads Safe 🚓

Today PC Stone, PC Cutt, PCSO Hancock and PCSO Fellows, have been out conducting roadside speed checks in response to concerns raised by the local community in Glapwell.

Our main priority is keeping everyone safe. Speed limits are there for a reason — to protect all road users, whether you’re driving, cycling, or walking.

When we carry out speed checks, it’s not just about enforcement. It’s about education too. A simple conversation with a driver can often make a real difference in helping them think twice about their speed.

We want to prevent accidents before they happen. Slower speeds save lives and help reduce accidents.

Please remember — our presence on the roads acts as a reminder to drive responsibly, not just when you see us, but every journey, every time.

Thank you for all the other motorists that assisted us by flashing and warning other drivers of our presence, your help ensured we saw a significant reduction in speed.  For some drivers though, the only option was to be reported for speeding.

Let’s work together to keep our community safe.
