We are having re occurring incidents of criminals attempting entry, theft from and stealing vehicles in Knaresborough outer.

During the daytime if you notice suspicious individuals or a group paying increased attention to vehicles on your street or belonging to you, please make note of descriptions of people, vehicle driving and save ring doorbell or cctv footage. Please submit this to police via 101 or report online: Report | North Yorkshire Police

If at night you notice hooded, balaclava wearing individuals trying car doors, garages, looking into gardens and trying to access multiple properties or vehicles then please call 999 to get police to your area. 

Please make sure to keep your car locked. If keyless entry to your car to keep your keys far away and securely in your house. Garages to be used and locked. Bikes to be chained out of sight.

I also recommend cctv to be placed covering your vehicle, lighting and signage saying you have cctv to be looked at to deter offences. 

If you can also report to the police any incidents where your car has been attempted entry by criminals but you only discover this the following day via cctv, neighbours etc. to please report this via 101 or report online: Report | North Yorkshire Police

please stay safe, secure and report incidents to the police accordingly.
